This perfusion bioreactor is a heart-lung machine for cell cultures.

Devices of this type have achieved a cell density greater than 20 million cells per milliliter.

We believe that with the proper matrix and mutliple cell types that this device is the best research machine in which to

attempt to grow capillaries, or to maintain explants of tissue.

The pump and oxygenation system is designed for the addtion of oxygen carrying material to the circulating medium:

hemoglobin, silicone oils, or even red blood cells.
